3D Modelling / Exercise 1

3D MODELLING - Exercise 1

FOUNDATIONS OF 3D MODELING

Title and Project Description

        Title                                  :    Primitive Object Construction

Project Description             In this exercise, we are instructed to build five (5) simple objects using polygon modeling tools in Maya. The goal of the exercise is to familiarize oneself with fundamental operations and tools, such as the extrusion tool, beveling, and the combining of primitive shapes to form recognizable shapes.
The Instructions of this exercise is to model 5 different objects, which includes a chaircuptablemug, chess piece with standard lighting.

Reflection

Being the first exercise and the first 3D Models I have to model in this module, modeling these 5 different objects really taught me a lot of things regarding the process of this medium of art. I learned a multiple number of tools in Autodesk Maya that would prove to be very crucial and important for my future projects, said tools would be extrude, bevel, connect, etc. All in all, this first exercise was a great introduction to 3D Modeling as a whole.
